Kreacher's Secrets
« Thread started on: Jul 10th, 2003, 8:55pm » |
|
Since Kreacher is now free from Sirius, due to Sirius' untimely demise, what will happen to Kreacher? We are told that Sirius is related to many Dark wizards including Bellatrix Lestrange and Narcissa Malfoy. And Kreacher knows many things about the Order that he could not share previous to Sirius' death, because of his "loyalty" to Sirius. Will he now run to one of these families and divulge the secrets, about the Order of the Pheonix, that he had been keeping?

Hmm, interesting to think about, I forgot about his freedom....must have slipped my mind in light of everything else. Perhaps he will go to Narcissa now that he's free. Which could have devestating effects.

but maybe Dumbledore would do something about it.. he know that Kreacher knows many things about the Order and Kreacher serve the Malfoys, of course he won't let that Kreacher tell everybody about it? maybe he will send Dobby to watch Kreacher

All of above is possible, equally tho theres that house elves keep there masters sevrets even after Death, it took truth serum to get anything out of Winky in GoF and as unhinged as he was Kreacher didn't want freedom like Dobby.
I also assume that the only things kreature would know was names of members and maybe plans from the previous year. He couldn't tell anyone where the house is cause Dumbledore was the secret keeper.
Which brings me to the final point, Kreature was the blacks house elf, but does is an elf past on like any other possession, if so hes more likely to become Dumbledore (as head of the Order) who Sirrus gave the house to or Harry who i would assume would be the benficiary of any will Sirrus may have.

Good points, Jonny. But you also have to remember that Winky was very loyal to Crouch. She still thought that he was her master, even after he gave her clothes. Since Kreacher never liked Sirius, he may not feel that same kind of loyalty to the secrets.

I don't think he can tell very many of the secrets, bedises I bet voldermult could guess who's in the order without kreate the only person the really worry about is snape. and last years plan aren't going to voldermort much good now!! but maybe because sirius forbid kreature from saying anything he still can't.

I just don't think that Dumbledore would do that, like let him go free or anything.
I think they should chop off his head. I mean what's the big deal, everyone hates him except Dumbledore and Hermione.. and he said that was his dream.. I say just do it.

I don't think dumbledore will do that either but he served sirius' mother even after her death when siruis was in jail and didn't trun to the blacks so maybe he can't served them or will after to be loyal to siruis even after his death.

I don't know.. He was hardly loyal to him while he lived let alone now that he's dead.

I think the biggest secret that Kreacher has concerns Snape being a spy for the Order. I can see where Voldemort would use this knowldege to feed misinformation to the Order through Snape. It could also lead to Snape's death.

I could be very much mistaken.. but I don't think Snape is a spy. He didn't go when the call was made. I think Voldemort would no that any one who didn't show up was not loyal to him anymore. So I can't see him trusting Snape. Not only that but if just one thing happened to make Voldemort question Snapes loyalty he would know immediatly(sp?). He knew right away that Harry didn't have the prophecy. So I really don't think Snape is doing any spying, but I could be wrong.
