I heard on an interview with J.K. Rowling that she stated that she wouldn't come out with a release date yet...and only would when she was finished. Meaning she isn't gonna try and hurry out with this one...I think that she's just gonna write it as it comes, and as she feels like it.

yeah I saw the same interview as Cho and she said that she will not set deadlines for either the sixth or seventh book, can you imagine the size it will surely be? I am totally excited for this book (but it will be sorta bittersweet I think) Happy because here is the book that will answer every question we may have and yet very sad because you know something is going to happen in this book and it may not be all good. Plus its the last book and there will not be anymore.

but somebody just told me it will be published in 2007!
hope it will be an happy ending!Voldemort will die!(maybe)

Well maybe 2007 is right, that's quite a ways away though.
About the eighth book....no she said that it will definatly end at book 7. Though she may make a fun book or suppliment to go with the Potter series, but the series itself will be done at 7

hmmmm..I guess so..(no 8th book)
wonder what she will do after hp book 7 is finished?..
maybe she will write other book similar to HP..
anyway...it still 4 years to wait...

I heard that the 6th book is already done, and she's working on the 7th right now. We're probably going to wait at least a year to get the next book, though, since The Order of the Phoenix just came out.
Plus, for those of you that read OotP: When Dumbledorre explained about the Prophecy to Harry, they figured out that eventually, Harry would either kill and destroy Voldemort for good, or be killed by Voldemort. I think that something like this will happen in book 7, and I might have some idea about who will win...

I highly doubt that the 6th book is already finished, she may have started it, but it definately is not finished. The 5th book has only been out a month, and she wouldn't have had the time to write the 6th one, even during the editing and publishing times. I think think that we will waiting a couple years for the next one, but, hey, it's totally worth it!

You know I hope there will be a competistion in the 6th.
And Ron and a girl will date during it, like one of the compintisiners, and she will duel Harry in the round during it and Ron is dating the girl Harry has to fight!
My heart is pounding by the thought! ( I hope Voldemort will die. and I can't wait to get the sixith book. I'm ganna die withou getting to read it soon!!!!!!!!!

Well if Voldie doesn't get killed shes contradicting a prophecy, but divination always has been a bit Wooly
I can't help thinking theres going to be more deaths close to Harry though, Sirrus was one of her favourite characters and he bought it, who's next Ron ?

I don't think it will be 2007 and but it probally will a couple of years till the 7th boook. also I think jonny is right harry is going to lose more people close to him!
